A walk in the park well for the Hippo it was but not for the other excuses for a 4x4! How on earth can this be - I mean are those others so so bad?

So let me get this right - my Freelander is better off road than Discoveries and Rang Rovers - YES!!! My day is made.

he stayed out the smooth wet deep ruts that clogged the discos treads up..and he wasn't gunning it in 1st losing traction...nice n steady was the trick :)

On a slippy slope weight can be the advantage. A fat tratter un it’s owner may struggle where a Freelander will excel.

It was nice to see the spectators clapping the brave little Freelanders at the end. A fitting reward for being so good. :D

It’s no wonder that Land Rover have moved over to independent suspension. Long live the Freelander. That’s what I ses. :D

Right do let me understand - Freelanders are best for boggy wet inclines where Discoverys and Range Rovers fail miserably - Freelanders are lighter nimbler and driven by far more competent off road drivers.

Well that just about says it all well almost - correct me but I didn't see any Tratters there - must have been the road journey to the site! Ha ha I jest in good fun.

Who needs a durdy tratter eh? When a Freelander is so good.

I think it was down to driver error in gear selection. Looking at the vid I rekon the freelander kept a constant speed in first gear and the tratters selected low range and then backed off the throttle when they hit the bumps meaning they lost momentum. Good on him though.:)
