Another air con issue

Air con is not blowing cold air on my Disco 2.

There is no leak and the system has been gassed and double checked.
Compressor spins and clutch engages all the time air is on. No cold air is produced at all. Mine is not a climate control model.

Any ideas before I buy a new compressor please?

It means it's working. The condenser side should get hot (bit by the radiator).

could be a wonky pressure switch . Listen to the compressor as it is switched on and off .You should be able to hear the clutch pack kicking in and out. If no click then find the pressure switches but dont just unscrew as the gas and oil will fly out, or if you are sure the pressure is ok then take a live direct to the clutch pack.It should kick in and give you cooling if not chances are the comp is goosed.If this works then you have a faulty pressure switch.

Garage thinks there is a blockage in the pipe work so are going to flush it out and fit a new Receiver/Drier at the same time.

Thinks! I would find a garage that knows' that would avoid any extra ££.

+1 I took a Hyundi in and after changing the filter, he said it was an "airlock" in the system, probably, maybe, possibly. Still couldnt fix it...

How are they supposed to know there is a blockage until they flush the system out and find out? They are trying to save me forking out for a new compressor and discovering it wasn't needed.
