Hi guys my alarm on my 300 tdi keeps going off in the middle of the night for no reason is there anyway i can lock the car without arming it or does any one have any other suggestions thanks for any help

If you use the fob then it arms the motion sensors and the door sensors, If you use the key in the door it only goes off if a door opens, might help? If not, then what you could do (if it's a 5 door) lock the drivers door from the inside and exit through a different one, bit of a faf, or just unplug the alarm horn?

Unpluging the won't stop the indicators flashing. As stated the motion detector can be isolated by locking with the key as they are known to go over sensitive also the bonnet switch has again been known to be faulty, just unplug so try both and see how it goes.

It's a good idear to state the year and model of disco you have as there are different systems.

Lock all the doors (except the drivers door) whilst inside the vehicle, then get out and lock the drivers door with the key. That arms the alarm for the doors, as said above, but doesn't arm the motion sensors. I had a similar problem with my disco 300tdi 1998 reg, the sensors on the passenger side pillar had got damp when the sunroofs were leaking in and it kept setting the alarm off at random.

Check the headlining for damp patches or moisture and dry them out, this may work (it did for me).
p.s. even if you dont have sunroofs, apparently you can still get leaking through the alpine windows and roof bars.

I had to disconect the alarm sounder on mine.
The indicators flash when I lock the doors but stop flashing normally.
The imobilser doesn't work, I can drive the beast.
If I reconnect to alarm it makes a right racket.
The boot floor is wet though, I wonder if the motion sensors are damp, the water comes out of the speaker in the drivers side C pillar, don't know where it gets in yet.
