airbag light

hi all
took td4 for mot today(n.irlend ) and it failed on 2 track rod ends a rusty flexi brake pipe coller on rear axle and no airbag light....
does anyone have any info on airbag light

How long have you had the car? Did you put it through the last mot? Peeps often take out the bulbs which list failures.

sorry but i didnt see your quote sooner
had the car about 5 year but new regs on warning lights for mot only came in this year..the light is supposed to stay on for a few secs or so when you first start up the car but the the light wont come on ...is there much point in investing in obd2 and scan software ect.ect.

You could try an odb2 scanner but I'm not sure it would find the fault. They normally only find faults in the engine computer. My hawkeye will go further and talk to the abs computer, which is where the fault could be.

Could it be a simple case of the bulb failed or taken out by a previous owner?

Obd won't do airbag, only engine, like hippo says check bulb first!
