Doing an engine swap. I've disconected the cooling system, electrics, fuel system, earth strap and removed eight bellhousing bolts as well as the cover underneath. Both engine mounts undone too. Am I ready to lift out or am I missing something? Starter need to come out? Not done this before. image.jpg

Personally, I let the crane take the weight then remove engine mounts because it lets you wiggle it to break the gearbox seal.
If you have a load leveller, it's a help because you can move the engine a bit then see which way it wants to tip.

Anyway. This happened.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
Came out easy enough, jacked the gearbox up a bit to help break the seal by wiggling the engine. Out it came.
Power wash and tidy up the chassis and engine bay next.

Looks a lot like mine at the moment.

But then I took it a step further and took my gearbox out as well.

Replacing gaskets and seals and hope to have it all put back together by next weekend. Gearbox is competed and already back in.

Forecast was for rain all day so I started off with the intention of cleaning up the engine bay. But the sun stayed out and so did I. Managed to get the 3.9 mounted in the car.
