300TDi Heater unit - is it handed?

The job I have to look forward to before the winter gets here (it does actually get cold and wet here!) is repairing the heater, Currently there is no matrix in there and none of the controls are working so I guess someone has done some delving in there previously.
I was wondering about just buying a complete used unit from Ebay but noticed in all the pics of the ones currently for sale there are large letters on the units - 'RHD' like this one; Land rover discovery300 HEATER MATRIX AIR CONDITIONING on eBay (end time 03-Sep-10 17:07:01 BST) Anyone know if that refers to the drive side or somefink different? Cant think, off the top of me head why they would be different...assuming pipes etc go in the same side..? In fact could it be an easier job, mine being a leftie? Bet it's not!

the main unit is handed - heater blower on lefthand side - but water pipes enter through the same holes in bulkhead for l&R hand drive, so matrix will be the same.Just checked on Microcat not handed

So the matrix is not handed but the unit is, yes?

Yes, that's correct.

Thanks a lot! Pity mind, makes it harder to find one now....unless I can get away with sorting the probs on the existing one and just buy a matrix, not looked at it yet.
