300 tdi

hi

is it worth swapping engines???? does it put insurance up much?????
and anything else I need to know please.

Only thing I can add...a 200 goes in with less work.

I prefer and worship the 200, depends on early or later 300, I don't like the 300 at all.

They do tend to squeek a bit......

Upon consideration I hates them to bits

Ei the belt, installations, mounts, quitter in extreme mud, bell housing requires drilling, has an egr valves, more electrical bits, tand the reverse gate that we have all love since 48 was changed though on a series that won't happen. I hate the bloody things oh and I myself feel a better pull with 200. The only things I like with 300 tdi is when they **** off and the es and xs 24 spline diffs and shafts! Love those too along with maestro van rear lights and all aggro door handles,

The rot on the 300 was too like the early defenders series and range ROVERS they reduced the use of steel ( cut corners ) after the 200 disco and 80's defenders they were rotters right from the 300s start

And I've just got last night a text from a mate and he in 3 years is on his second bloody power steering pump. They are ****e man.

Ps leaking sunroofs right from the start too. Defender and series have sun roofs with better reputation.

P p s if any of you on here have sunroofs in a disco use boot polish around the seals or vasi

the sun roof on the 110 I had leaked badly, or it might be better to say it leaked very well, it was extremely good at leaking

The 12 landys I've had not one leaked through the sun roof

No that's a lie one did but some #### took window out and put chequre plate over and put blutack as a seal then paint. And its 14 I've owned series and defender. And 2 rr crap two doors and 2 and a half disco never again with the disco and never a two door again.

Bloody rust buckets.
