Just wondering if anyone has fitted a 200TDi into an old auto RRC form the 80s. I am considering putting one in and am curious to know if new engine mounting brackets are needed on the chassis ? Thanks in advance.

Would expect it's been done many times as the 200tdi was a factory fitment to the Classic in the early nineties.

there was a factory retro fit my bro fitted a few when they come out in the 90's. But as suggested get an old disco and use all the bits

Have you done the conversion Beast o'Bodmin ? I've got the ZF box so am hoping it's just the engine mounts if even that...!!!! or most probably a lot more.....

Petrol Auto box is no good. Best bet is buy disco tdi auto and drop it all in, just have to reposition mounts off disco on to Rangie. My mate just sold disco £500, plenty out there. Having said that, the best diesel to go with auto box is Mazda SLT 35 , awesome power, smooth, good on fuel. Kits are available from Motor and Diesel. Hope i've helped.
