After another Disco need to budget, found one which is not too far away, 230K on the clock, recent cylinder head change, welding in usual places. have asked them about the sills, boot needs a little work but not near the seat belts areas(bonus), they say pulls like a train, doesn't smoke(unlike me;)) and there are no unusal noises or whines from the engine/trans/boxes.
All the body looks straight and has a mot until november.

Need to go see her first, been looking through the previous posts, but can't see anything relating to the 200TDi and milages before you expect to see problems.
anyone got any advise please?

Mileage isn't that important, regular oil changes and servicing etc and the 200tdi will just keep on going.

How much are they asking for it?

Got 2" lift on, have asked if they have adjusted anymore of the suspension, full polybush replacement, so would save me a job.
Think I better go have a looksie first before I commit, however it's a Disco and really want it, seem to have bought it in my head first.. Silly me:D
Does look in good condition aprat from ripped front seat, and the carpet in the boot have missing. but body work looks straight.

It might be worth the extra if it's not too rusty.

Front seats are £20 off ebay and the carpet not beng in the boot is a positive thing as they are just sponges fitted to assist in the rotting of the boot floor.

Go have a look, take a load of pics and post them on here. We like piccies :D

Oh the famous sponges, think that's what set off the sills in the last one, funny how you get a second shower in the morning after it's been raining!!! took the last ones out and they stayed out, they were sinking.

200s ....cam follower on No4 cylinder a common problem at high mileage IIRC ...or at least I was told so . Corroded fusible links . Will post more as I remember

Hopefully though if they had the time to do the cylinder head, maybe they would thought better to check it now, and sort it if required.

As for the Handbag, think i'm being slow today(well more than normal ) give us a clue

always something that has looked a little odd to me, the massive hole behind the window switch's, much prefered the 300 center console, however that must be byist as I had one before. It does though have it's benefits though, being able to mount radios/cb's or an extra row of switches etc.

Saw a nice one in Braintree , Essex on the bay just now ....but I looked at autotrader as well and theres not much round your way for sensible money - I am surprised . Nice one in Somerset on the bay too ....wonder who you could get to go look at it for you ?
