MG ZS 180 2.5 V6 2003 ‘03’ Low Mileage Saloon & a Folder of History!!

I have for a sale our loved MG ZS 180 2.5 V6 Manual Saloon.

This is a car that I never thought we would be selling, hence the work I have carried out to it, but circumstances have now changed and this car has to go. For example, full synthetic oil changes have been carried out every year, despite only covering an average of 3,000 miles per year.
We purchased the car in November 2011 after a lot of searching for a clean one.

HPI Clear.

This one came with full history, all the MOT’s, 2 keys & fobs, invoices etc, including the original invoice from MG. The previous owner worked for MG so the car was very well looked after.

We are only the second owner, and the car stands with only 87k miles.
Since owing the MG the following upgrade works have taken place:-

•I have upgraded the clutch to a full metal system from Honda, which can now be bled. Also a custom high pressure pipe installed from the slave to the master instead of the rubber tube as standard. The clutch is an Achilles tendon in these cars as it has a flimsy plastic slave and master cylinder that easily breaks. Now the gear change is short and precise;
•Window Tints that are guaranteed for the life of the car;
•Complete brake overhaul carried out, including:-
◦New Break Pipes fitted, including the rear one that that the fuel tank needs to be dropped out to fit;
◦New original Rear Callipers, Discs and pads – so no handbrake issues;
◦Original Front pads and Calliper (only the driver’s side needed to be replaced);
•Cat back exhaust (standard item so it doesn’t make any unnecessary loud noises!);
•De-cat pipe to enable the car to breath and make a proper exhaust note, again not a loud ‘bean can’ noise!
•New Battery;
•Colour Coded rear parking sensors;
•Air induction kit, again allowing the car to breath properly and letting the sweet 2.5 v6 make the noise it should;
•Oil catch can (just in case, but it is completely empty!);
•Maxxis MA Z1's fitted to the front and Pirelli P-Zero Nero's fitted to the rear;
•New up-rated resistor fitted for internal fan speeds 1-2 (common problem for the MG’s to burn out the resistor and lose this feature;
•JVC CD, MP3, USB etc radio fitted with separate Bluetooth control for hands free phone operation;
•De-tango’d front headlights fitted to remove the amber indicator lenses which gives the car a fresh modern look;
•2 additional integrated rear interior roof lights to make the cabin lighter in the darker months for rear passengers, as the front interior light is not sufficient to light the whole interior;
•And finally, Pink stripes – well it is my wife’s car and she likes pink! These are vinyl and can easily be removed if pink is not your thing! Only put on at Christmas.

Just flew through its MOT on the 22nd April 2015 with no advisories, and expires on the 20th May 2016.

I am sure that I have missed a lot of the standard specification of this car, but if you have a query then please ask me and I will do my best to answer.

Tool Kit has not been used in the boot, and neither has the spare wheel.
This is a very reluctant sale, as we did not plan to part with this car. If you are looking for a MG ZS 180, I honestly feel you will not find a better car than this one, and would encourage you to look at any other cars for sale before looking at this one to see how good this one actually is. This car has never let us down in almost 4 years of ownership, and if I had not uprates the parts, then no money would have spent in all the ownership – I just like to be pro-active.

It goes like a rocket, pulls like a train and handles like it is on rails.
These are basically based on the Honda Civic, and I can imagine will outrun the Civic Type R. All parts are ready available with sharing with Honda.
The original ‘cat’ is included in the sale and is easy put back on, should this be required. I am also sure I have all the original Air box parts that will also be included, provided I can find them in the rafters of the garage loft!
I also think these will be a future classic!

MOT Mileage:-
• 22nd April 2015 – 86,343
•7th May 2014 – 83,362
•26th April 2013 – 80,006
•23rd April 2012 – 74,520
•16th May 2011 – 68,451
•17th May 2010 – 60,202
•14th May 2009 – 53,493
•16th May 2008 – 47,211
•17th May 2007 – 38,265
•18th May 2006 – 29,459

There are age related marks to the body work, as you cannot avoid the careless people that like to use your car to stop their door (there is one door ding in the passenger side unfortunately and a slight mark on the front drivers side bumper rubbing strip). Slight kerbing on an alloy – from previous owner – having said that the car is in very good condition given it is 12 years old!

Thank you for your interest and please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Looking for £1,500.00.
