2003 FREELANDER TD4 AUTOMATIC 5 DOOR BACK LOCK

Hi all, I have today fitted a new rear Loading Bay Door Handle, the problem is I cannot get the Lock out of the old broken Handle.
Help and advice how to do it PLEASE.

Simple.
Gently squeeze the 2 lugs together on the rear of the lock barrel and push it out the front.

Main reason for posting this reply is today 5th September 2023 my 2003 Freelander TD4 has with All Colours flying PASSED HER MOT. So after a Sleepless night worrying about How Much it was going to cost me, except for a minor issue concerning it"s Emission ii sailed through at 1.39 for a total cost of £50 odd quid. Now that"s what I call HAPPY MOTORING.
