im just checking to make sure i got this right ??
ive lined the crankshaft key to tdc with no 1 piston
the cam shaft cog has a white mark on it and lined it up with the web thing
loosened off the 3 bolts on pump cog
replaced tensioner and idler pulley
finally got the belt on

the belt seems very tight on and ive not adjusted it yet ??

am i going the right way or just gonna blow it 1st start

Sounds about right, belts sometimes a bit tight to go on, tension it propper and tighten the three bolts on the pump then turn the engine round twice and back to timing marks and undo three bolts and tension agin and tighten bolts agin on pump (and tensioner pulley) and jobs a good un

cheers m8 :D
thought i was on the right track but started to panic a bit once the belt was on will touqre her up tomoz the way u said then hopefully on with the rest of it

now to remember which bolts go where on the timing cover

You mean you didn't draw the shape of the timing cover and water pump on a piece of cardboard and pushed the bolts through in the place they came from as you took them off?:rolleyes::D

There's a handy list of which goes where but I'm buggered if I can remember where I saw it.
Maybe in the manual or a download, it gave the length of bolt and where it goes, if you get stuck I've got my 90 ones stuck on a card in the right places to go back so I'll measure them.
Might just do it anyway and post it up.

gratch after a couple of beers n i the rain !! i just wanted them out lol

yur right landowner just looked in the good old manual n says which bolts go where :D now to measure each 1

:Dsnigger:D

I'll start you off on the order- the rustiest bolts are from round where the coolant goes through into the block;):D:D

This might help :)
