Hola,

So after fixing (again) my fuel supply problem at the weekend, I was driving home yesterday when I stopped at the Co-op half way home (10 mile drive from start). When I got back in the car, 2 lights came on which I've not seen before. I took a picture thus:

They didn't impede the performance of the car at all, so I carried on, and they went off independantly aftyer about 3 miles. Not seen since.

I have a suspicion these are 2 of what you guys call the 3 Amigos and are indicative of an ABS sensor issue. But wouldn't I get all 3, and why did they just go off on their own ??

Any thoughts, gents ??

Mine went on recently because fuse f2 was blown. But they didn't go back out again untill I changed the fuse obviously. The only other reason I know is stop light switch so check your brake lights

here's another thread ..

if it turns out to be the brake light switch
( with 2 amigos that's usually the problem )
removing it then cleaning it with contact-cleaner spray Might work

IF you replace the switch with the new type
the new design will only slot in one way due to the shape of the switch and it's mounting ..
unlike the old type .. the new one twists Clockwise to set the plunger
.. If you've a proximity sensor fitted to the mounting plate next to the b.l.switch
put a finger under it and lift it .. if not .. it can get in the way of getting the b.l.switch to sit and twist properly ( causing much frustration and swearing )

Thanks y'all. Not seen the lights since, so fingers crossed just a blip.

Glynnp, I waited until I was on the straight section of a dual carriageway with no other traffic, BTW.

Although I had to end my call, stop texting and leave facebook alone while I did it !! :)
