Hi All

Anyone got or can take some images of a/your 2.25 Diesel 3 bearing engine?

Particularly of the fuel pipework system, need a little visual reference not just line drawing from manuals. Any all other engine pics appreciated too, anything always helps!

Cheers
Nick

Ignore the rust and general state of it cos i'm in the middle of doing it up, but it'll give you the general layout,ok

Many thanks for the replies.

How come my injectors/spill rail etc look like this? Just the year of the engine?

Where does your return to tank line go from? mine currently comes off spill rail.

Cheers

The fuel return line does come off spill rail back to tank.
The reason you probably have air in the fuel lines is because you've got clear hose pipe and not proper rubber/silicone braided fuel lines, when the engines running at temperature them type of hoses tend to soften and let air in around joints and then reseal themselves when cold, had a very similar problem on my p38. Install the correct fuel lines from fuel filter,{make sure you drain out any water in the bottom first} and it should run better and start easier. You could also install in the line a one way fuel filter valve just so you can keep an eye on it.

Forgot to say also check fuel spill pipes between injectors aren't split or cracked because they can draw air and cause bad running/starting.

does this help taken from a landy i nearley bought with a 2.25 5 bearing original n/a engine with what looks to be the original fuel system

Bastards at local Agrifactors said the clear braided pipe would be fine! I'm a fool
Think i'll save me dosh and buy new lines throughout.
