Series 3 - starts but won't run

Hi all - Series 3 2.25 petrol. Just had a new dizzy, coil, fuel pump and carb and we have this situation where engine starts and then cuts out after about 15 seconds. It won't then restart, but after waiting for 5-10 mins it will start again but then cuts out again after 15 seconds. Could it be a fuel supply problem? Was standing for a number of years, but was running without this problem before the parts were replaced. My theory is than not enough fuel is getting to the carb - so maybe a restriction in the line, BUT, I guess it could also be something else? Anyone seen anything similar?

But does sound a bit fuel related, make sure when you ask you give lots of info as to what was fitted. You could just rig up a bottle of fuel high up with a pipe to see if it would run longer.

Thanks - noted re sections and postings. I like the fuel bottle idea, that'll rule out fuel tank gunking up - will try that. R&E Land Rover of Salisbury did the work..
