Oh, is this the same police that get slated regularly on LZ?

I like this part, and E bay specials come to mind..:tea:

I would urge anyone who has recently had such parts fitted to make contact to advise where these parts were fitted. I would also urge caution for anyone looking to buy second-hand parts.

“If we stop a vehicle and it is suspected that it is fitted with stolen parts then these will be removed and the owner of the vehicle could face prosecution.

“Any owners of these kinds of vehicles looking to buy second-hand parts need to ensure they buy from reputable sellers and know where the parts have come from. What may seem like a bargain at the time may well be too good to be true and could leave you left out in the dark.”

So they expect people to go to them as say I bought these LED lights of a man in the pub. I have no proof of purchase. What do you think mr police man?

Yes they're stolen we will impound your vehicle and are going to arrest you on handling stolen goods.

Yeah a great way of getting people to come forward.
Don't get me wrong it's nice to see them doing something but people could get into a world of **** without even knowing what they have actually bought.

if stuff is sold in a pub like that, then why would someone think it was not stolen

I would have thought it's disco 2 head lights that they are after but they aren't doing themselves many favours by saying that they are after LED lights.

You're probably right and I didn't think about that.
I was thinking about for defenders. A set of jw speaker led headlights are what, about £800.

It was said in jest. The same principle applies where ever you buy something from it could still be stolen. Be it auto jumbles ebay or even on here.

Possibly. The parts you usually hear of being nicked tend to be the disco headlights and defender doors and bonnets.

Has anyone heard of the Rangie headlights going cos I haven't come across it around here?

No but I had the indicators nicked off my D1 once - the kid's probably older now and moved up to headlights lol!

Yes. bosses wife had side window broken and headlights and grill pinched from rangey sport recently at J.27 retail park. She was in Frankie and Benny's, middle of the afternoon.
