can anybody tell me what the factory finish was on the underside of my bonnet on a 1972 series 3 . ie was it alloy finsh panel (skin) and matt black frame work or was it all sprayed to body colour ?

i have 2 sets of 16" rims ,on one set in the inside rim they are welded seems on the other set they have 3 rivets per section which hold the wheels together , i assume the riveted rims are older and they dont hold air so tubes are needed ? am i wrong ?

In that case are you saying rims that have rivets are only for tyres fitted with tubes ? Do you know the reason for this ?

i have a 1972 series 88 which is now fitted with mickey mouse wheels and tyres , i have 4 original steel riveted rims which have been refurbed etc , i understand they have to have tubes fitted but what size tyrs can i fit and where can i buy them ? i beleive it left the factory 40 years ago with...

i have a 88 series 3 1972 which is sittng on 4 16" modular wheels and 205 /16 marshal AT tyres which are like brand new . i want to put the 88 back on the original steel riveted rims which i have aquired but can anyone tell me if these tyres will fit the 16" original rims or will i have to buy...

my distributer seized up over the weekend and had to get my 1973 series 3 88 towed home:(. on searching the internet i came across a replacement being sold by paddock for under twent quid !!!!, has anybody used one of these or know of the type they are selling and are they any good ??? if not...
