my distributer seized up over the weekend and had to get my 1973 series 3 88 towed home. on searching the internet i came across a replacement being sold by paddock for under twent quid !!!!, has anybody used one of these or know of the type they are selling and are they any good ??? if not where is the best place to purchase one ?

If it is that cheap from paddocks, it is going to be a britpart special, and best avoided. These guys, L. R. Series - specialists in land rover, land rover series and range rover - gearbox, axle, transmission parts, spares and major units offer the choice of a pattern or genuine part, which although more expensive, is actually going to work.
