Definitely easier to buy a new bracket. Changed mine when I swapped a disco axle onto the back of the 90.

I'm going to do mine myself soon. Going to hire a steam/hot pressure washer to get everything nice and clean first then coat in waxoil.

Ok thanks for the tips, I reckon the pumps had it then as I only cleared out the nozzle recently. Will try again to be sure. Don't have a back washer and the terminal is broken on it anyway.

Noise has got worse when coming off power, checked UJ's, seem fine (new anyway). Can't see it being anything other than rear diff?? Not had time to get it off and wont for a good while, use the 90 too much! Will have to get it into a garage soon£££ Thanks for the tips anyway

Hi all, Wondering if it is possible to remove the spider unit so I can start the vehicle without worry if it will throw a tantrum? Don't want to be at the start of a race and the truck doesn't want to start! I presume it can be done given the rover EFI engine is used in many off road...
