Each to their own I guess :) I'm prefer knowing that the map was installed and test driven on the live diagnostics and fine tuned. As well as the turbo being turned up to suit the new fuelling. If I understand correctly, plug and play boxes just trick the ECU into over fuelling and over boosting?

Took my Disco to JE Engineering for a remap, £330 incl VAT. Much better than a plug and pray box in my opinion.

:D It's got a 2 1/2 inch open pipe on it, can't be more than 2 meters long, give a lovely deep bellow when you give it a foot full at low revs. One thing I am finding is that the throttle pedal is now uncomfortable because you barely touch the throttle to make it move. Really is a strong engine!

Miss my defender all the time, apart from when I'm traveling more than 30 miles. Then my disco wins hands down :D

Driven to the Alps twice in a with 5 people, plus camping kit, plus mountain bikes in/on a 110. It is tiresome, but there's no reason you should make it. Don't forget ear plugs :D

Thanks for that. My standard tyres are 235/70R16, they just look lost on the car. Suspension is staying standard as its my everyday car, the 101 is for having the fun in :D I do need some all terrains though as the road tyres don't like the mud or snow much at all :o Some extra ground clearance...

Mine was from the water sensor on the bottom of the filter. I bought a new filter and used the plastic blanking screw they come with until I get a new sensor.

I hate to be the one to ask, but.... What size tyres are they? :o I'm looking at getting 245/75/16's for mine, but haven't seen them anywhere else on a Disco. Yours look about right :) Great build btw, liking that bumper a lot and I now know how to get to my faulty fuel gauge sender, so thanks.

To our surprise, the engine is actually really quite quiet! And even if it is noisier, once your up to 30mph you can only hear the tyres anyway :D

More updates this weekend, it should be finished! Everything is connected, piped, wired and clearanced. Just time to take it for a test drive :) Oh and the exhaust sounds fantastic ;)

I'm assuming you've pressed the unlock button twice? Once for drivers door, twice for the whole car....

I picked up my '03 disco with 118k on the clock for £4k. £5.5k should get you something pretty damn mint :)
