sunroof prob you have happened on one of mine it was the switch nicked one out of one of my other RR and got a replacement switch panel from a breakers in Manchester

They also leak around the boot seal There was a recall something to do with bending the seal lip up or most likely the main dealer bashed it a fair few times with a big hammer no doubt one of our more anal members will post up a link lol You could try a search for it I definitely read it...

Datatek is now in on the secret His eas knowledge is second to none perhaps apart from wammers' knowledge lol You will find the eas problems far easier to sort than you think the fact you have a problem is probably more related to the fact the car is 14 years old

the faults are normally 1 an air leak 2 an air leak 3 an air leak 4 an air leak 5 and a very rare problem an air leak :hysterically_laughi

have search for eas problems there have been many many many topics and answers on this subject

if you are going to use chisels and hammers to remove the bearings from the crown wheel carrier and pinion shaft wear some goggles I am fortunate to have hydraulic pullers and presses chisels and hammers can cause more damage than enough to remove the pinion large bearing from the shaft cut...

the front pinion bearing is the easy one the other 3 bearings will require pulling off strip and inspect the diff bearings I had 3 ropey ones upon inspection so changed all 4 you shouldn't need to alter the shimming when replacing just the bearings

when messing around for any length of time I suggest you put a charger on the battery it goes flat and all sorts of weirdness can occur when resetting the eas after exiting the programme and powering off the ignition you must unplug the obd2 connector then switch the ignition back on
