    series 2a reversing light

Series 3 does, the series 2 has diffo boxes, the early ones dont have synchro in 1st and 2nd, if its the later one with synchro then you might be able to rig summat.

    Disco axles.

Its a heap of junk really, its made from a scraped bubble jet printer, a stepper motor turns a length of threaded rod thats connected to a pin chcuk with a tig welding electrode in it, the motor advances the tig tip till it touches the job, then current begins to rise through an inductor, when...

    Disco axles.

Never had a series one out, they are nutted yep, but they could be threaded and nutted. If it were possible to have done that I would have, the axle tube or the flange size are diffo on the disco, there is no space for a nut on the back. If I screw up or break a tap on the other side I've...

    transmission fluid leak.

Still cant really say, where is the patch of oil, under the engine or box, and then which end of the engine or box is the leak from.

    Chassis suspension bushes.

Dont think it was the parabolics pat, more shatpart. I got mine out with a sawzall, saber saw whatever you call it, you have to be carefull not to cut the chassis though. Still waiting for mi new bushes for the front.

    transmission fluid leak.

You need to find out whether its the 'engine or box. You say the engine eventually stops, if you dip the clutch will it re start, does the clutch work ok anyway. Does the engine temp read ok or hotter or colder than normal. Does the top hose feel rock solid? Does the oil on the dipstick look...

    Disco axles.

Gonna have to read that when I have more time, but sounds logical. Mine is a series 3 so does have a swervo. Heres a couple of pics of my re-drilled axle, the screw heads you see are just bits of threaded bar with hacksaw cuts both ends so I can tighten them with a 'driver, it was bleeding...

    Chassis suspension bushes.

Your press idea might work, but you'd need to relieve the pressure against the tube that the bush fits in not the chassis, it must have been tight to shove the chassis tube out. I'm gonna clean up the inside of the bore with emery before shoving the new bush in, a bit of molyslip makes things...

    Disco axles.

G spot, nope I didnt want to do that, with other stuff I've done I've realised its not such a good idea for various reasons, one is its tricky to weld a 10mm hole up in a 15mm thick flange, and then theres the issue of getting the gasket flange flat again, then another issue is not warping the...

    Disco axles.

Yep got that. So you do have a spacer under the mounts, well a little bit, and you got the steering bar furhter away from the leafs as your engine is higher up. Something worth thinking about for someone doing a new build. Had a ballache trying to tap the new holes in the axle flanges, the...
