It seems that these caps are pretty expensive. Might make £30 on ebay for the old one.. that should offset most of the cost of the conversion kit.. sible88, how easy is it to replace the filler neck? it's not something i've ever tried to do.

i recently did the head gasket on my 2.5 petrol. About 30 miles into new one, i've got mayo oil.. and lots of it. On my journey back from work just now it's somehow exploded grey-coloured oil over the right-hand side on the inner wing, heater box etc.

Yes.. That's the point.. Let me clarify; I'm not suggesting that all young drivers should front their insurance, I'm just saying that in some specific circumstances it's not illegal and can work out better for the inexperienced driver.

If the system thinks you're fronting, it bumps up the quote. Best advice is to be a named driver on a parents policy, with said parent also the registered vehicle owner. If said parent doesn't already have a car (uses a company car or something) then this can work out a lot cheaper.

How can i check the carb model? The landy is a standard '87 2.5 petrol AFAIK. Which Haynes? The only one i can find for the 90 covers the diesel engines.

Not sure how you set the mixture / idle speed. How can this be modified? The engine runs sweetly when accelerating and i haven't heard any backfire Set the valve timing using the rule of 9 when we changed the HG. How can i check if the timing it correct?
