Good morning all, I really need some help.. Being a rank amateur at this please excuse my ignorance.. I replaced my radiator on a 200 tdi yesterday. Went to put new thermostat in housing and whilst tightening up the bolts on the housing I've managed to round one off completely and I've sheared another off completely. I'm guessing the easy option is to buy a complete new housing top and bottom but I can't find them anywhere on tinternet. Can anyone offer me any advice or solutions please? Thanks:confused:

I managed to shear a bolt in mine when trying to stop a leak.

You should still have 1 bolt left, right?

Hi costlyy, no I only had the three. I've managed to remove them with some very patient neighbours and now all I need is three replacement bolts. Luckily it shouldn't bel a problem now. Thanks j

are you able to drill holes for a new bolt or get some grips on whats left..? you might be able to drill out the old bolt too..

Hi JOnny P, yep there was enough purchase left on the sheared bolt so was able to remove it without any drilling. Got some new bolts and all sorted now.
Thanks for ersponding guys.

J
