1997 300tdi 5 speed.:) going to change gear box oil after search was going to use mtf94 but was told by local garage to use aqf. which do i use:confused:

will any type of grease do for 300tdi disco on props etc or is there certain types for diffrent parts requiring grease:)

if it heater matrix then windscreen would keep misting up no matter how long you kept heater fan on it or kept wiping screen with a cloth, took me a while before i sussed

so 2" lift was a waste of money then fick sake why do companies no tell u this when selling you these

bought a 300tdi 1997 disco few month back with 2" lift, last month had squeak noise when driving, found it eventually to be frony prop uj knackered. so after a few searches on 2" lift issues, there seems to be a few diffrent ideas on what to change or upgrade. can anyone confirm what should be...

good pics, once canister off it splits in half, one seal middle one seal top of can when fitting onto head of unit, if i wrong no doubt someone will tell me.:)

maybe irrelevant but condensation on mine was heater matrix leaking, front footwells carpet soaking, windscreen never demisted, replaced all ok now

changed sedementor on ma 300tdi, before i did, done search on how to which very helpfull, during searches did read that someone changed plastic drain plug to a bolt, cant find it now, anyone know size,how long and if needs an o ring seal on it before fitting?:confused:

going to clean out sedementer housing will fuel still leak from tank once i take casing off to clean, if so how you block pipes.thanks in advance for any advice:)

had to leave disco in bits as cant get power sterring pulley off, got water pump pulley off using screw driver to jam two bolts then loosen one at a time but power steering pulley has lip on it stopping screwdriver getting purchase, any ideas please thanks:confused:

going to put on new water pump to my 300tdi checked threads and reckon i can, only unsure if changing may cause airlock in system if so how to avoid or remedy, any one help. thanks:)

we been having severe snow and -18 temps, tue night did a 15 mile trip to help family stuck, 5 mins from home lost power pulled in engine stopped,but it started up straight away ok, next morning not start, turn over ok but flattened battery,was -15 that morning,had to work so put battery on...

whats the mix ratio

been advised to add some petrol to diesel to stop freezing up but unsure if work or will damage engine, can anyone advise, or if other ways of stopping diesel freeze up apart from moving to a warmer country:)
