The thing is you only need to use etch primer on bare aluminium, ( as etch primer is for bare ali only not painted surfaces ) which should be really clean, give the ali a scotchbrite to remove any oxidation and a good clean off with some MEK, Solvent Cleaning, or some other very strong...

A lot of bollocks. Where two differents metals come in contact with each other you will always get corrision. That is mother nature, and there aint no device gonna stop that. So save yer money mate.

Thinking about putting some diff/axel guards on the defender. Ik know this has been talked about many times, but which one's are the best. Some people swear by Southdown, other's QT. Some people will never fit them. What are your thoughts.

Like you say it should be a flat clean surface. However what yer can do is decide where you want to place your stickers, draw round them with a pencil. Rub that area down, apply the stickers and then go round the edges with edge sealer from 3M. Jobs a good en. PS. if you leave the stickers in...

Don't think you will get into Iran, if you have got a British passport. Talked to a overlander in Nepal last week, and he used his Italian passort to get in otherwise no way.
