There you go. But before you attempt to change it beahttps://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/390857661699 ware that the original leather is stuck to moulder plastic and no easy way to replace it. Hoping someone else will share some ideas on that.

Thanks for the pics. This seems to be a very common yet simple to rectify problem with Freelanders. The connectors seem to be not perfect. Will recommend anyone with a non working seat heating issue to check these cables first.

Guys, the seat heating is all fine, tool it to an auto electronics pro nearby. Both the wires were out & didn't have to take the seats out as well. Seating element was ok. 30mins work for £20. Job done! Thanks for your post too.

Thanks again. Sure I will look into it. The heat itself is not an issue but the air flow pressure on hot mode is. Will look into it & see if there is anything that needs to be done.

Sorted. Didn't have to cut the wire off the loom. Broke any burnt plastic & cleaned the carbon. Working fine now. Couldn't have done without your help. Thanks

Yes it is. And the power/ speed of the fan is well felt & good when on cold mode but drastically decreased when on hot mode. Definitely less than earlier. Any help please.

Thanks..My fan is for sure not giving me the power in the cabin it used to but it works with all speed position & makes the noise of increase or decrease in speed too. Just got the pollen filter changed during service & looks like the face vents are ok. Puzzled!

Hi all, My TD4 54 plated Freelander 1 is showing an error sign & upon diagnostic, it is showing as Air Flow Meter. 1. Where is it located & how to get there? 2. Can it be cleaned? Thanks

Could it be the fan resistor? Looks like the pollen filter is ok. Any idea as how to open the panel under the wipers (I guess it is called the inlet vents) to see any debris, leafs etc is stuck? I removed the wipers but can't remove the plastic screws with little holes.

Did you say that you had to disconnect the loom from the housing first?

Seems the relay is ok. Any idea as how to take the seat out?

Didn't realize that there are individual relays under each seat. Let me check that before I attempt to change the element. In my case the passenger side seat heats up & driver side doesn't. Both the switches work fine.

Found it, thanks. Yes, it is the small box you mentioned. The housing is indeed melted & needs replacing. Hope I will be able to do it on my own.
