    propper cheeper diesel !!!!!!!

Here we have off road (red) and low sulfur diesel. Price is usually only 10 cents different or so, but the off road (not meant for off roaders:D either) puts out alot more smoke. And yes I did mean kerosine, it keeps everything from gelling up when its cold.

Not anymore dip****.....modern diesels here are four stroke... just jump on a diesel forum for a minute or two and you would know that. I don't know what year the 2s went out, but we didn't start putting diesels into light trucks until the 80s and they are 4s.... Here you will often hear the...

Yeah....they hate it when that happens, but it does make for a good show... Are you guys talking about 2 cycle diesels? I think you will find that your street landys have 4 cycle in them and can not burn up there own sump oil. I could be wrong though...would not be the first time. I know here in...

Another thought! Do you have C02 fire extinguishers? If you shoot the co2 into the air intake that will shut down a diesel or any engine for that matter.

Had a Rabbit; most of them have been scrapped. Might be a few around but the last one I saw was about 8 year ago as I pulled the motor to put it in a dozer.

Sounds like one for Myth Busters. What do you call it when it happens? I grew up on a farm with all sorts of diesels at different levels of despair and have been a truck driver up til about two months ago. This thread is the first I have heard of such a thing. Sounds logical, but I don't...

12.... mother nature did not invent any refined oil..... its like saying mother nature invented telephone poles, or demensional lumber.... I believe it was George Washinton Carver who extracted the first oils from peanuts, he also invented peanut butter and soy oil.... and he was an American.

    fuel economy

I have no proof, but I believe that the gas quality goes up and down sometimes. I notice great changes for no reason in fuel economy, and I think it has to do with the amount of ethanol in the fuel. Alcohol burns faster and hotter than gasoline.

They do if they have an electronic fuel pump. All of the new engines have been designed with electronic pumps so they can be shut down. I have never heard of a diesel running off of sump oil, but then again; we tend to build our engines so they don't leak oil everywhere:rolleyes:
