Hiya.... Its legal to have light bars on your disco providing they are activated by a separate (luminated) switch. Mine passed MOT & tester asked how they were switched on, once he was satisfied they where not on the same switched circuit as the head lamps he rubber stamped my MOT.

Good tip if you do free it off & you will with good olde brute force & WD.... use your diff lock at least once a month to stop it siezing again.

A friend had similar problem & it turned to be the bearing gone in the alternator.....or have you tried driving without the wifey in the car...maybe the whining will dissappear !!!

Did mine a few days ago, far ammount of crap in sedimenter !!! As mentioned in other replies......be quick to seal off the diesel supply or you'll get a sleave full of it !!!!! Also, just buy new sealing gasket for sedimenter much cheaper option.
