sorry for the delayed response the breather filter is located in the rocker cover its a few years since I did one but it is an easy fit(I managed it) costs about £15 not part of service schedule but it swells up leading to massive oil loss there must be a few posts on here about if not try...

I on a L322 maybe the same fix for a sport there are some rain channels in the a posts clear them out I had to remove the black plastic covers also try sunroof channels if you have a sunroof

I got one from a great guy in Yorkshire he advertises on ebay does the recons using genuine parts or cheaper parts if required cant go past him pm me if you would like his number think I paid £80 or £90 exchange delivered to the door

just had the same problem gearbox rebuild im afraid by the sounds of it it will get worse if you use it if you do a search on here all the info you ever need is here ive needed it a few times and everytime the guys are right and very helpful

don't forget the oil breather filter often overlooked

I have put cheap ebay ones on before and they haven't lasted a week honestly that's true get genuine ones I learnt the hard way

looks to be a common issue mine wouldn't go over 70 and hated hills felt like fuel starvation read the sticky pulled vacuum pipe off turbo and tried it no low down power but turbo boosts and away you go very pleased with the ease of fix

too late just fitted it car now driving great all thanks to the sticky thread in this section saved me a fortune as it felt like fuel starvation or turbo

ordered one now £41+vat locally

pulled the pipe off revd out no problem took it off when you suck the valve its not holding vacum
