    Clutch "issues

Hi all! My clutch sarga continues and have a question or 2 to point me in the right direction, My freelander is an L-series and had a new clutch, and master/slave cylinder fitted less than a thousand miles ago but had stood a while when I bought it. The clutch is now slipping only in 4th and 5th...

First week of driving after MOT

Could well be but would only know by taking it out and then may as well change the clutch, I have just been taking a good look and have found the slave cylinder piston/rod that attaches to the rusty and seizing release arm is not straight, sort of on the squif so thinking the slave may have...

    Extralube ZX1: A short rave.

Hi mate, this "formula" has been knocking about for years under different names and so far the suppliers have never come up with any scientific evidence that it benefits the engine in the long run. The suppliers used to join car forums and recommend it until they were rumbled and when pushed by...

Metallic sound when engine turned off

scrap that just read your post properly and acceleration stops it not the other way around. sounds like one of the aircon/power steering pumps or alternator bearings or possibly a belt tensioner giving out?

Metallic sound when engine turned off

engine mount? engine moving forward and back (rocking) when accelerating or decelerating and when switching off? had this on a couple of cars before.

    Advice on TD4

Hi mate, depends on how much of a risk your prepared to take, I used to buy lots of turbo diesels with blown turbo's and clean out the pipes and intercooler and replace the turbo and sell them on. The problem is you won't know the extent of the damage to the engine until you have repaired it...
