    towing

The Rangie would probably squash the trailer, never mind the car. Seriously though, I have a four wheel car trailer, it's quite substantial, but I wouldn't fancy a 2 ton Rangie on it.

    Diff drain plug size.

Quick question, what size Allen socket is required for the diff drain/refill plugs? My set is missing one, the 12 mm is just a little too big. So I'm guessing an 11mm one. Getting a bit of a rumble up front, wheel bearings seem ok. Was doing the brakes pads all around today. Got new...

    First Time Towing - unimpressed!

Might be a stupid suggestion but, having towed a lot with my Rangie, 4 wheel trailer plus car, the one time it behaved like that was when the brakes binded on one of the trailer wheels. Never the most powerful Lugger but adequate once the brake was fixed.

    Is it worth nearly 10k

A neighbour of mine has one of those in Green it's like it came out of the factory. The exhausts have been fettled to give it a beautiful but classy muted burble. it just oozes class bowling along the country lanes here. It's just perfect, and wish it was mine. Would I pay what would be almost...

P38 Conversion Upgrade to L322 front & Rear

http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/range-rover-p38-headlight-conversion-85333.html Old thread here, guy might still be around though not many posts. I know there is a site somewhere with a description, as I read it, seemed like a huge amount of cutting was involved. Why has no one...

    Max boost pressure

Trying to solve an earlier problem of bad idle, I tested as many sensors on the engine as possible. One of these was the map sensor bolted onto the fuel filter. By connecting it to an airline the change in resistance across the terminals was measured. The change was tiny. I disconnected the...

    P38orn

Thinking this was a good thread, and should have lasted longer. more pictures please. In order to keep it going, here is a copy of a post of mine on an Irish motoring website, a verbal picture of my P38 experience if you will. Some background info, the M50 is an awful ring road around...

    Air bag burst

When I installed the rear bags on mine, you could just see they were not going to seat properly. So the jack wasn't fully lowered, and the air was let in untill the bags took shape. Then the car was let down. Is there a link to your guide Datatek? As The front ones still have to be fitted...

    Air bag burst

Maybe the air pipe blew off, it's a push in fit. Just fitted a set myself, and with the car up I was just about to put my hand under the wheel arch, but thought the better of it.

    It's broken again.

Well, no airbags in South Ireland unless you want to pay LR 320 Euros plus the vat for one:eek: So ordered 2 from Paddocks, at 55 Stg, seem to be the same ones too. Yep as most people said much cheaper than a conversion. These are definitely an item to checked carefully. I'll do the front ones...

    It's broken again.

Trying to use a 12 year old car as a daily driver this sort of thing is bound to happen alright. I do mean this thread as a little tongue in cheek:) I need to get it back on the road, and the bags will probably be quicker to get, so more than likely keep the air suspension. Pretty amazing...

    It's broken again.

Well after almost a week of driving after it's last fault.( crankshaft pulley) The mistake was made of leaving the RR alone for 3 days. On arriving home it was reclining on the rear wheels, despite the EAS timer relay being removed. This surprised me, put the relay in, up she pumped, took the...
