Realistically, I think we would all like a "barely used low mileage vehicle" for £2-3K! £12-13K is probably more realistic, half that for 10 years old 70K 110 or 90 £2-3K will get you 20+ year old and/or 150,000 miles+ and/or ex mod/ex utility company/heavy farm use and/or 5+ former owners...

with diff lock engaged, if one wheel on each axle spins in mud (or in thin air) the ABS will stop any drive being sent to the wheels that still have traction because the ABS sees this situation as a potential skid! I hope I am right with the above explanation and would welcome confirmation...
