Busy weekend, changed the gearbox for a recon, changed the input gear for a cross drilled one as the original was fooked, new clutch whilst we was at it, new uj's in front prop, wired in the winch and changed the p gasket, now off to bed for a well earned rest :-)

265/75/16 is a common size on the diesels, not sure if there's any preference for the v8 for better mpg ???

In that case unless your suspension is fooked is leave it as it is and save the money for fuel lol, I'd go for a terrafirma standard height kit, Are u running standard or bigger size tyres

All Down to personal preference, what do you intend to use the truck for, if your planning on doing some lanes and possibly pay and play then go for the lift, If you don't intend to get it dirty then I would stick with standard height, but you can still upgrade the suspension to a better make...

I'm guessing it will be the ecu, a dry joint common fault, it takes 20 mins to do, If you do a search for 300 Tdi eletric window ecu fault or words to that effect there are some good photo guides It's a little bit fiddley but not brain surgery :-)
