Does any one know the best stuff to use to de gunge a td4 inlet manifold got a spare one that is as bad as mine so leaving to soak is no problem.

Theres air in the clutch system. If it wont bleed up, you will have to spend some brass. I ve had a td4 for 4 months , wallett and bank account now empty starting to wish i had'nt botherded.

Nowt wrong with td4 gs .But when (not if) the firkin thing goes wrong even the BMW bit does, shop about fer parts there are some robbers out there and some are as bad as the main stealers;) mine dont leak never as

Yes, crankcase breather blocked and an obviously weak gasket was the fisrt to go, that was nearly 2 months ago. Only just got the funds to buy a new engine

hello, I too lost oil and now need a new engine. Did you have any problems fitting the newer engine, did any of the parts need changing, and did the ecu in your car have any problems with the newer engine.

The engine is connected to the gearbox, the IRD is connected to the other side of the gearbox dem bones! 75 has m47 bmw engine should fit my freelander but did need to know what differences there are on engine. Dont think IRD will come in to it.

HI does anybody know if a 2004 rover 75 cdti engine will fit straight in to my 2000 td4 or will certain items have to be swapped, fly wheel electrical items etc. Has anybody done this swap, any info would be most welcome thanks

After finally getting the parts from the main stealers the leak is fixed & new crank case breather fiitted. "The best diesel engine bmw ever made" now sounds like a sewing machine with a lump hammer for a needle . td4 owners change the sodding breather it kills engines.PS anybody got a td4...
