    Centre steer ....... How rare?

Apparently, it's remains are in the garage of an ex employee who is too scared let it be known that it's there in case he gets in trouble, according to a recent mag who is in touch with him. Just a few rusty chunks, who knows what it's worth?

    Do you want/need a Riveter?

A bit like the propshaft bolt tool, you only get properly ****ed off with doing them 1/8 of a turn at a time with spanners when you've done about 12 of the 16 and it's not worth getting one then!

Just stick your half inch ratchet or breaker bar straight in there, nothing on the end, job done.

    Rattleguns Series Rebuild

The BULKHEAD! After the chassis, most Landies and their rebuilds seem to be all about the bulkhead, it's a motley collection of steel pressings, piled together and spot welded up with dozens of rust traps, it's a wonder they last as long as they do. We started work on it back in the summer...

110 Hi Cap Tub Fit 109?

Of course, with a good bit of choppin n grindin. You'll need to make a new seat bulkhead part for the doors to shut against and truck cab to sit on but quite doable I think.

    How hard to....

If the nearest Defender was 1000 miles away, it would still be a thousand times easier than basically rebuilding a series as a 90/110 from the inside out.

    How hard to....

It usually involves stealing a defender and sticking Series number plates on! Some people really do slog away at the conversion but it's a lot easier to just buy one as said.

    Wipers

Have you tried taking the offending wiper off when parked and putting it on in the right place? What happens then?

whats the cause of jumping out of gear

loose mainshaft nut can cause the excessive endfloat, accessible through inspection cover at top/rear.

    Jumping dizzy

No worries dude. The pic shows it with adapter in place, and you can see the splines of the drive gear underneath it. The master spline is hard to see and you wouldn't notice unless you really look, it's just a wider space between 2 teeth on the internal part of that skew gear, as shown in the...

    Jumping dizzy

There shouldn't be any significant movement up and down, I'd deffo say the grub screw is loose, missing or there's something up with the skew assembly itself. This thread has reminded me about mine so I was checking it this afternoon and this is where it points when the engine is at no1 tdc...

    Galvanised front panel slightly warped.

I'm sure that will be no problem when it bolts up and the paint will be ok too. Can you flex it straight by hand?

How much should I ask for ???

I'm only 1 opinion though. No MOT is very bad for any vehicles value, people have to think "what if it needs £600 of work?". Then there's the alternator and batt to think about. If it really is nice otherwise, sort those things out and sell it then.

Landy in pieces, MOT Runs out next month

The expired mot will cause no problem, it's only a problem if the insurance runs out while still taxed, you'll get an auto fine if that happens.

You can take the oil filter assembly off and as long as you keep it tipped upright you won't lose any (much) oil or need to drain it first. (cough cough disclaimer, don't blame me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure I'm not)
