mick, i think you will find the beeping you are getting when you unlock with the remote i the system telling you the remote battery is low on power.just need a new battery. not sure about the dash light though tim

hi jas718 if you have worked on old tractors the you should be good for the td4.might be worth getting a haynes manual or alike. i personally find getting the under tray off the hardest part.youll need a36mm socket to get to the oil filter element. do change the crank case breather/strainer...

might help if you gave more info on the engine type ? eg petrol or diesel.what year is your freelander?

hi d d as long as the guy who changed your water pump after re filling the coolant bled the air from the system,and since driving it for a few miles all is ok,then id say £90 is ok tim

personally,had it not been for the hg problems the k series would possibly be regarded as a good engine in the fl1 i owned one for 2 years and found it great fun to drive, poss better than my now td4. that said i did have a problem with a burnt out exhaust valve, it caused engine to lumpy idle. tim.
