    200TDi Temperature?

Not always the case. The difference between the stat temp and the running temp can be marked. Each engine makes its peak power at a specific temp. Rover V8s shouldn't be run over 80 Deg. The Honda K20 can happily run at 93. There can be trade offs between engine longevity though. This is due to...

Well said.... I like your take on the FMJ quote too. :D

    twisted intercooler

I agree.... I'd also replace the air filter. I'm pretty sure the likes of K&N do direct swaps that fit in your normal housing. No chavvy bits! That being said. I do like their exhausts. MMMmmm Yum.

    twisted intercooler

The following is my opinion..... Looking at the kit, I don't believe it will make a huge much. (It will be like comparing driving on a summers day to driving on a winters frosty day.) I'd change the intercooler only really if you are upping the boost, or changing the flow conditions. For...

    Intercooler needs fan?

It's Boxing Day here and has been for the past 11 hours. There was FA guesswork involved. I'm pretty confident my solution fitted. :D Cheers Chico.... I was thinking the same mate. A lot of angry old men on here who are rather egotistical. Very cliquey too! Regards Chur

    Intercooler needs fan?

Thats what i said!!! The fans role is minimal! Infact the role of any fan on an intercooler is minimal V's flow of ambient once the vehicle is moving. BoB don't bother unless its an offroad special, where you need every LAST HP.

    Intercooler needs fan?

*sigh* :p Edited to add... I have read a lot of forums where people talk huge amounts of crap. It annoys me when people post but don't actually answer or help your initial post seemed like you tried to make youreslf sound an expert, when a simple What are the details of your instal" would...

    Intercooler needs fan?

So what does this "cone" do when stationary? What does it do when moving? How does it achieve the flow rate? I suspect you just worked out the flow of the fan.

    Intercooler needs fan?

Sigh.... youre a clown. There is no contradiction. A viscous fan only has any effect on anything (engine temp, which is it function)at very low ambient air flows. I stand by my comment that a viscous fan has little or no effect on an intercooler. Think about its position and function. I'm...

    Intercooler needs fan?

Understood.. look at the bold bit below... I replied to the bit in bold with.. It will make [ ] this much difference. Only when your driving with some speed do you really work the intercooler. At such time the air flowing into the grille naturally will do the job. The viscous fan would...

    Intercooler needs fan?

 Assuming the intercooler is mounted in the standard place, then its pretty safe to assume that it will be ok for the reasons stated in my previous post. Not sure where else you would mount it to be honest?? And i am yet to hear of an intercooler that works from a viscous fan. Regards...
