    when i centralize the box the arm does face forward, the drop arm can only go on the box in one position it is when i connect it up to the drag link that all is ff fed. The steering was working fine before i went offroading.

    I used a bit of 25mm x 6mm Flat bar and a couple of stainless steel M10 nuts and bolts to hold them in place. Cheaper than paddocks heavy duty retainers, i got mine for free from work :D

    I t is normall to have to give a diesel a slight rev to get the warnign light out. All it is doing is exciting the alternator and making it produce its on electricity instead of drawing from the battery

    sounds like maybe the didoes are on there way out, or maybe the rectifier best check with a multimeter. I have had an alternator pumping out just over 14volts but the warnign light still glowed. It was a fault diode i just replaced with a OE alternator for about £100

    once it is in that condition, no matter how well you clean it up, etch prime,prime and then top coat and clear it will bubble through in no time. Best to use a black metal paint and paint both of them, at least they will be easy to touch up in the future

    Open the expansion tank and rev the engine quiet hard, if the pump is working you will see the water being pumped in. simples. Might be a faulty sender for the temp. Why not run a length of wire from the battery neg to the gauge and see if thats any better at least that will rule out an earth...

    check the battery with the multimeter you are looking for 13.6v to 14.4 v. Forget what the gauges are reading(they might be faulty) check with the multimeter. Even with all of the electrivcs on lights,heater etc you should still be over 13.6 volts
