    Bio

Thats fine then. The only other problem is that the supplier is liable for duty & VAT on every litre he/she sells, as this is classed as commercial production (ie not within 2500 litres personal use exemption). Mark

    Bio

If you are using bio (or any other alternative fuel) thats not duty paid, you are required by law to record how much you use. In the (unlikely) event that you are randomly dipped, you will need to prove that you haven't used over 2500 litres in a year. If you can't prove it, HMRC could assume...

    Bio

Just check what this fuel actually is. Is it described as biofuel (veg oil blended with solvents) or proper BS/EN compliant B100 biodiesel. If biodiesel, i'd suggest you at least do a check for soap still in it. this is easy, and the supplier should be happy to demonstrate to you. Basically...

I'm in Leeds. Don't pay for my bio, I make it myself, costs me about 15 p/L

    series two master cylinder

A series 2 could be fitted with any combination of master cylinder/wheel cylinders. My series 2 SWB's got series 3 servo assisted twin circuit 11" brakes from a V6 LWB. And yes SWB & LWB are usually different. Any idea what you've got?? Mark

Sounds knackered mate. Whip you're engine out, stick it on a pallet and i'll come over and collect it for my 88" series 2. Cheers Mark

Rear Number Plate, best way to fit?

I fitted my number plate on the back of my caravan with blobs of silicone sealant. Took some twisting and pulling to remove it, so I'd recommend it, if you don't want to drill holes. Mark

    Started my 200tdi conversion today

Good stuff Careful the engine doesn't run on oil it sucks through the turbo. It could rev itself to death if you're not careful. Mark

Back to the blue smoke issue...

I'd try Andrew Page or GSF first, rather than 4plusfour. There's an Andrew Page in Harrogate (not sure where though as its moved) or one in Harehills, Leeds too. Will be a lot cheaper. You should be able to get a set of four for about £10-15 judging by prices on Fleabay. I wouldn't...

Back to the blue smoke issue...

This clever(ish) bloke says your injector pump probably also needs a tweek to reduce the fueling Uglyduck. A bit easier to judge how much, now it's been running properly for a few weeks. Not convinced about the decat thing. If it blocks, you're engine performance will "die". Once given a...

    series as a daily??

i've not had any bolty or weldy bits fall of my S2, but I did do most of the bits myself. Sure to say that a series is agricultural and fitting a TDI adds mpg (35+) economy, but re-inforces the agricultural nature of the body. I do love my series 2, but wouldn't want it as a daily driver, even...

    what's happening?!

It's a helpful place, but definately unfriendly to newbies, and the language is appalling if you are not used to it. IMHO. Still sticking with it myself though. Mark
