All springs keep making sound on full lock

It would match up with the back ones not being as bad as they don't swivel with the steering, the stiffer springs make much of a difference?

All springs keep making sound on full lock

Could it not be a strut top bearing seizing?

    TD4 DIY raised air intake

Ah of course hell that could complicate things, do they make much of a difference to warm up time?

    TD4 DIY raised air intake

What's fbh stand for? Tempted to do something similar with mine just trying to fettle its problems first before modding,

    Flappy Paddles retrofit

Owts possible but yeah maybes not worth it sometimes, would like to see it done though, I'm on looking at fitting cruise control to the landy but its a similar story too awkward to be viable.

    bloody technical stuff down south

Aye I see the logic behind it, something I'd not seen before though, I was pleased with the f1 on the motorway, got much better mpg :-)

    bloody technical stuff down south

Not too stupid to own one, I'm doing a grand job of owning it, its just the driving bit that's the problem.

    bloody technical stuff down south

Aye my own daft fault, hell got a shock though! Shame I wasn't in the series it would more likely bend the post :p

    Flappy Paddles retrofit

Looking at this diagram you could maybes patch into the steptronic switch, I dunno if it'll work as a normal open/shut switch or a voltage modifying switch, would try it on a scrapper first in case it upsets something.

    Flappy Paddles retrofit

Sounds technical but not impossible, I've not had anything to do with the autos but would love to see something like this done

    freelander TD4 Steering rack bolts

Have you tried a new bolt in top of the rack. It may have just come out instead of snapping off, if it has snapped then looks like rack'll have to come out, unless you can get the stud out without removing it.

    bloody technical stuff down south

Went on a road trip down south to Birmingham visiting a friend at uni, followed the sat nav and it led me to the exist of the uni, a car was pulling through between the ballards and even though it was the exist I thought I'd just quickly sneak through as I could park about 25 foot away, now...

    won't start help please

Try changing the fuel filter it can give the symptoms you describe, can pull up some strange faults codes when blocked too. Not sure about the air in the fuel, could mean summit more technical but for the ease of changing it I would start with that.

Serious fuel leak OSR arch Freelander 1 TD4

If I remember rightly its part of the housing and kinda slots onto the housing so the filter makes contact with it when it slides in,

Serious fuel leak OSR arch Freelander 1 TD4

Have a look at the connectors if they don't come off with a bit pull I would leave them alone, I think you've just been unlucky with the pipe coming off the first time, also I wouldn't worry about the electrical connector never had any bother leaving them as they are before, I think they're...

    Raised air intake.

Would love one looks much better than the normal tube snokels,î just trying to figure out how it could fit on a td4. Looking quite tricky, how do you fit it to the windscreen pillar? And also how does it finish inside the wing? Is it like a round bit of pipe to attach other pipe to or does...

Serious fuel leak OSR arch Freelander 1 TD4

If it were me have a look at the pipes and see it the ends of the pipes are broken (should be the type you press a square block on either side and pull off) if they're fine then its likely it just wasn't put on properly and should be fine. Just be careful you don't snap the pipes they get...

Faulty fuel gauge/phenominal deisel thirst/all Freelander guages lie?!

42!! That motorway driving I hope? Hell I dream of mpg like that.

Faulty fuel gauge/phenominal deisel thirst/all Freelander guages lie?!

All them figures sound about right around the doors I get about 400 miles to a tank which would cost just under £80. Did a road trip the other day down to Birmingham so lots of motorway miles, sat at 65 and got 500 miles to my tank :-) buzzing! But aye it would be nice if the fuel gauge...
