    Clutch change disaster!

I would try a new master cylinder, mainly because of the ease of fitment and its all you haven't changed, although its too late now, its a good idea to test the clutch works before its all back together, it can be done on the freelander as soon as the ird is back on as you can try turning the...

    Help needed, what next ?

Black smoke suggest that its fuel related, or getting to much fuel to the air coming in which is what everyone's been saying with turbo and boost hoses, so unfourtunatly I can't really help :D. However I would have expected a fault to be logged if it was over boosting, from past...

Engine brackets: 2.5 petrol to a 200 Tdi Defender

I've often wondered about this set up as (only what I've read) the disco block means you get to keep the original mounts on the series and the defender turbo saves a lot of hassle with the exhaust and boost hoses so seems like the perfect set up, I bet it would transform the series though,

    Seat covers

I've got some of the britpart seat covers and can't reccomend them enough, they fit fantastic, and are properly waterproof

Fitting front seats in the rear.

Although some of the f1s only had 4 seats anyways, I would I amagine you would have major issues with insurance ect carrying out a mod like this, just with them being so safety critical, and to do with the actual physical fitting of them they may be too high to fit, however anything is...

    2010 freelander handbrake adjustment

The handbrake has shoes that work on the inside of the rear discs, you take the wheels off and pull the plastic plug out and have peer inside, check that the linkage isn't siezed as it is fairly common. If its alright get some spray grease on it while someone works the linkage. Next you need...

Several issues, getting fed up with chasing them now! help!

How old are your tyres as these can show some very strange faults when old, gave a hell of a vibration and steering shake or the freelander. Also has the front prop been fitted the right way round? I know for the td5s the sliding joint goes towards the tbox but I think it could be different on...

    wheel bearings

What other problems you had like I find the f2s to be fairly reliable, they are great though can't wait for them to come down in price.

    wheel bearings

See what this next bearing does, like they say it might have been faulty parts/faulty fitting, so it should be alright this time, what do u think of your f2? I think they're fantastic vehicles.

    wheel bearings

I've never changed a f2 wheel bearing while I've been at the garage, however a good friend who works at a different garage has changed three or 4, when getting a new bearings, britpart sell a complete hub bearing, knuckle and the round arm bit that fits the the strut, I can't remember if its...

    Garage b**gered up my gearbox

Sounds like a bias plate which isn't something you can break by being rough, its more something broken over time and age and probably just gave up when in their hands, you also need to drill rivets out to allow the gear sticks to drop through the floor so that'll be where they're from.

    All very odd?

Turbo boost solenoid, its electrically operated.did it die when you put your foot down or started going uphill?

    Defender lift kit

Ideally yes, lifting it changes all sorts of suspension angles, the main difference the caster corrected arms make is the feel of the steering. However I would advise against lifting it unless you really need to as all sorts need changing like brake lines, panard rod and the trailing arms as...
