    Discovery tows an artic lorry

Thanks for that! :) My housemate (a stock Nissan Navara owner) is giving me grief for buying a Landy...this ought to shut him up for a while! :p

What have you done to your Landie today.

Fitted a cargo barrier, and gave it a wash after a muddy session off road the other night. :)

Larger tyres and clearance question - D1

I've got an opportunity to buy some Cooper STT's in 235/85R16...atm the suspension on my 1996 300TDi is stock height, with the shockers and springs replaced by the previous owner a few months ago just before I bought it. In other words, no sagging or age-related issues. :) Atm, I've got...

    Disco bush-bashing in Aus

Ok, here's another vid...being hauled out of at least 60cm of mud (we measured it with a spade afterwards!). The last resort was being violent with the snatch-strap, but it worked! Hehehe! YouTube- Snatched out of 60cm deep mud!

    Disco bush-bashing in Aus

Alrighty, thought I'd post a quick vid before I go to bed! My mate's not much of a cameraman unfortunately, but there's more to put up...that's tomorrow's mission. :) YouTube- Discovery vs deep ruts

    Disco bush-bashing in Aus

...well as close as we can get to greenlaning kinda stuff anyway! :p I've just got back from what was supposed to be a quick bit of friday night bush-bashing with a mate, and omg it turned into an epic adventure! We started at 10:45pm and it's just after 4am now. Doing a recon mission for a...

    Hello from Australia!

Today I did a trip to the city to collect my cargo barrier and a pair of Thule roof-racks which had finally arrived! I haven't got the cargo barrier installed yet, but the racks are on, and I've also put on the Thule roof basket which I bought a few back. This is only a temporary setup until my...

    Hello from Australia!

In between the rain this morning, I managed to fit an on-board air compressor which was given to me a while back. It fit perfectly in the space in front of the brake booster and the power button and hose fitment is easy to access. :D My cargo barrier, battery and roof racks should have arrived...

Can't find my CD stacker ...help !

Yep, that's all they're good for. I only realised it was there well after putting in an Alpine headunit n other goodies, n was looking for a good spot to put in the module for the Alpine ipod controller unit n a place for some 12v sockets. :p

Can't find my CD stacker ...help !

Lol, I didn't even realise that mine came with a stacker until I was mounting a double-12v socket n some misc audio-gear...the ipod overtook the need for it. Hehehe! :p

High Lift Mounting... Where and Why?

Down here we either fix it to a roof-rack (down one side out of the dust/mud), or fix it to a cargo barrier. There's a few people who attach it to their spare wheel and don't find any issue with it over the harsh corrugations...so long as you're not hammering over them like a tool, I can't see...

    2nd battery mounting...

Cheers for the info mate, is there any chance you could include some pics for the rest of us considering the same kind of install? :)

    my pickle....

I've been lucky/smart from early on with properties, investments, vehicles, etc, and admit at nearly 29 I'm in a better position than most of my mates, have no kids, etc, so have more ability to do as I please. I'm rather shocked to hear of how bad things over your end have become (from various...

    2nd battery mounting...

My understanding (and from what I have measured up), is that if you have a snorkel fitted, and relocate the power-steering reservoir, you can easily fit a second battery in the mirror position to the primary. If anybody else has info I'm keen to hear from you also. :)

    Running on Veggie

Hey fellas! My posts the other night were a fair bit of tongue in cheek, and after a few Bundy's I admit that I had misunderstood a few replies...that was my problem which was projected onto you and I apologise. :) My missus got the ****s up royally because I'd been interstate for quite some...

Well you were the prime arsehole who seemed to take a basic question to heart, so why don't you spruik your side first, rather than trying to give me or anyone else playing 'normal' ****...I despise penny pinching people...you ARE in the same category of TOYOTA PRIUS DRIVERS, so deal with it

SVO is something outside your realm that we'd like to know... Rather than continue to try and give me **** over a trivial matter, be up-front, be honest and friendly with the folk, and earn some respect mate...the SVO term might as well be Chinese to us....but being the big international...
