Think that could be a good shout it looks to be coming from that area looking at engine diagrams. Will order one and have it to hand when I service the disco on Saturday. Cheers Neil

Gave those hoses a good clean out and appears to of sorted the issue. I wanted to ask another quick question. The throttle cables there is two? The rear one seems to do the throttle but what does the front one do? it appears to be really slack so assume its need adjusting but wanted to find out...

Without wanting to sound stupid this will be the first time i have done anything on this car, im not scared of getting stuck in etc previous car was an Alfa so not shy of getting the tools out :-D. But i just wanted to ask how easy is it to clean the crankcase breather is it a quick job...

Sounds exactly like my issue this, where is the best place to get the replacement parts? Flametrap T pieces and two hoses just incase it all falls apart when i take it apart to clean :-D as i need the car for work on monday.

Hello, I have a 2001 discovery 2 4.0i v8 and It appears I have an oil leak, I noticed a few spots on the floor outside of work when I came to park back in my space after lunch. Looking under my disco this evening it looks like it's coming from the front of the engine and down around the fuel...

I think if i do buy it i am going to give it a good service change all fluids etc. Fuel wise this one isnt LPG so guessing premium unleaded tesco momentum or something like that would be best.

looking around 1800 quid it is a nicer spec than alot of others inside than i have seen locally to be leather seats etc, and overall looks like a clean example.

To be honest i would be lucky to do 5k miles in a year in it as i work less than 2 miles from home and we have another car for longer trips etc. my only concern was the disco i am looking at has 180k miles on the clock so just wanted to see if people have them with this kind of mileage on...

Hello thankyou for the advice, if it all checks out fine i guess this is something to keep an eye on with it. What kind of mileage could i expect from one of these v8 engines if looked after serviced correctly etc. This is my first discovery and probably looking at having it for a few years...
