I'm still running on the original dizzy a rotor arm, it really depends on the mileage you do but leave alone I say untill there's trouble and they are expensive I have a spare cap just in case that was around £28-£30 from a main dealer.
I did replace the leads a few years ago because they kept pulling away from the plug caps I did a few repairs but they didn't last, the new leads made a difference.

Was trying to clean all my plenum hoses and check for more blockages, because the problem's back... Disconnected the manifold hose (the one with two bends in it that goes to the t-piece) and it cracked into two bits... Then I thought "I wonder if it's supposed to do that" so broke it into three parts :lol:. I now have a severe lack of plenum hose.
This is what it used to look like:

So! Now's the opportunity to replace the flame trap, t-piece and hoses (whether or not they're the cause of my problem)... And maybe, just maybe that'll solve my stalling/bad idle problem :frusty:

Yeah I did that.
I found that that hose, the t piece and all the associated holes on the plenum/throttle body etc were full of crud.
I replaced the broken piece with a length of Samco I had lying about.
Sweet.
Good luck anyway, be VERY careful with the t piece itself, mine is über brittle and I already broke a little off that aswell

Replaced the flame trap, two hoses and the t-piece today.... It SEEMS to have fixed the stalling problem, but as it seems to be one of those crappy come and goers we'll have to wait and see!

Sounds exactly like my issue this, where is the best place to get the replacement parts?
Flametrap T pieces and two hoses just incase it all falls apart when i take it apart to clean :-D as i need the car for work on monday.
