i agree with new2landies the guy i use has his own garage at the back of his house and charges £15p/h he has no overheads bar his electric bill, he can service a 300tdi disco for example for £70 and make £40 profit , do a few of them a day and you quids in but it finding the work, he started out...

had a good look around mine whilst havin a cup of tea and decided to sell the disco and get a seies 3!! so if anyone wants a disco 300tdi and has a series they wanna deal look in 4 sale section

i had a 4.0 v8 p38 that used to burn oil, i put it down to wear and tear, probably something like piston rings, it has no leaks just burns it whilst drivin along, unless you ready for a engine strip down and rebuild then i would keep toppin up with 15w 40 as its cheap enough and will do the trick.

no more than £70 the service kit is only £22- oil £15 if you buy it yourself then an hours labour £35 more than enough, i just serviced mine and it cost me about £30 but i did it myself so no labour charges

changed gearbox/transfer and diff oils on mine, and also replaced the aux belt tensioner pulley and belt, oh and changed the tyre on the spare wheel, treat my disco today, might even wash the crap of it tomorrow!!

easily solved......... move the boiler:):):)

same as above i changed the complete heater unit in my 200 a few weeks back, took me about 3 hrs to complete, once the clocks and centre console is out its quite straight forward, but make sure when you remove the 4 screws for the sissy bar on the dash that your careful with the integrated...

the wipers have stopped working on my 300, nothing happens, cant hear the motor turning when you move the stalk, any ideas/ suggestions appreciated
