What have you done to your Landie today.

Just changed the water temp sender and the injector Harness. And the award for bright idea of the decade goes to the NUMPTY who designs an engine with a wiring harness running under the rocker cover... Doh...........

    Disco TD5 Temperature problem

Hi All As if I don't have enough problems... NOW the temperature gauge plays silly buggers. Overheat warning light comes on but the needle drops right down to below cold. If you turn off and restart, sometimes it will clear. Definitely not overheating as does it from cold. I'm sure there...

    TD5 Oil pressure switch

I checked that one. The oil level has not dropped from the engine since I changed it 6 months ago. I had a look anyway whilst tinkering over the weekend and it seems dry. Just need to reconnect the pressure switch and see whats what, Any ideas where it connects to the harness?

    TD5 Oil pressure switch

Thats my worry. She sweats oil on the drive but the level hasn't dropped since I changed the oil 6 months ago. (engine seems tight) but until I can reconnect the C1087 to the harness I can't identify IF pressure is dropping. All of the oil seems to be from gearbox - TX box etc...

    TD5 Oil pressure switch

Thanks Both. Looking at this then can I just remove the connector. OR If the black doesn't connect to anything, should there be another cable that does? I have removed for now and no warning lights up on the dash, which concerns me a little, Am I missing something??

    TD5 Oil pressure switch

Thanks to all who helped me identify that this odd cable hanging down is from the oil pressure switch. Can anyone offer a pointer as to where "physically this connects into the harness? Thanks

Disco TD5 Sensor - Where does that go??

Disco TD5 Sensor - Where does that go??

Hi all can any one point me in the right direction? Just spent a few hours under the bonnet with a tickover issue and noticed a "spare wire" flapping in the breeze. Traced it back to a sensor on the right hand side of the block (looking from the front) and located just next to the oil filter...
