    200TDi Timing Belt

You just answered all your own questions. Land Rover Belt slightly better quality than an after market one. If you are not very mechanically minded then get some other sucker to do it for you and if they FECK up then you have someone else to blame and not yourself ;)

    td4 whistling noise

The whisling will be from the turbo, due to the rover rons synergy 2 increases the boost pressure and makes the dump valve close earlier making the Turbo come in more and give a slightly higher boost.

    Confused electrics

Glad I could be of assistance, this sort of fault used to happen to my Citroen C2, so I presumed it was a similar fault due to the ECU controls everyting via a nice can-bus system.

    Confused electrics

Try disconnecting the battery and leaving for 10 mins mate, when you reconnect this will induce an ECU reboot and hopefully solve your problems. It is like a home computer playing up, if at first you don't suceed switch off and try again........

    Dickie Seats in a 300TDi

Just remember that once you add the extra 2 seat you must inform your insurance that the car is now a 7 seater, this will slightly increase your premium due to there are more passengers that could be injured in a crash.... I believe a breakers would be your best bet, the seats just bolt in to...

    P38 Coolant Pressure

If you are getting an increase in pressure in your water system then there is a possiblity that you have a blown head gasket, the compression pressure from your engine is being forced into your water ststem and this is causing the blow back. Have you tried removing your thermostat completely...

    Discovery head Gasket

Incorrect...... Skimming the head will mean reducing the clearance of the top of the piston with the top of the head chamber, this in turn will increase the compression ratio. So if you do have your head skimmed then you must replace that lost metal with a slightly thicker gasket to bring your...

P.S. Harry the Spider is a device behind the Stereo, you need to remove the stereo and the heater controls to get to it, try the fob first and if it isn't that then you may need an Auto Electrician to sort out the Spider. P.P.S. The spider is the control unit for the Central locking and...
