Swivel ball corrossion - is this bad news.

Or just buy a new teflon swivel ball and be done with it.

    Since owning a 90, I have...

I agree I do feel a lot less stressed driving my Landie instead of my normal car. Although my 200tdi will happily sit at 70 all day on the motorway.

    Warm weather no start.

My classic bug used to do the same. Was down to poor ignition timing and a dodgy poorly set up carb.

    New defender (again)

Rubbish, I'm 32 and I've worked on modern stuff and old stuff the basics are the same! As long as you have the right diagnostic tools working on modern cars is no different to the Defender! An engine is still an engine. I've done loads with modern VAG stuff. Remove the plastic covers and the...

    Indicator - louder please?

What about that green flashing light Landrover kindly installed on the dash? That's usually enough to tell me it's still on.

    Laquer correction?

It might come back looking ok if you mopped the roof. I'd try that first personally.

    Power windows & doors

I fitted remote central locking to mine a few weeks ago. A cheapie £20 kit off Ebay. Best mod I've made so far!

Low mileage factory 200tdi Defender for sale

Not 100% sure I wanna do this but I'm hankering for a classic Beetle again (yeah, yeah I know!) I have a 1992 (J) 200tdi Defender for sale. It's a factory 200tdi with a genuine 79k from new (all MOT'S to verify mileage). I have spent ££££'s on it. Mechanical (all work carried out in the last...

    Defender vs Discovery 200tdi Radiator

The oil cooler adaptors just unbolt from the original radiator. You just switch them round.

New mud flaps turned into a nightmare.

Ooh we have a steam mop, I never thought of using that to clean the engine bay or bits underneath! Lol!

200tdi radiator, will the cheap one fit???

Well the paddocks one bolted straight in. Had to swap the oil cooler unions over as the new rad comes with the later style installed as James said, other than that swapped in an hour, easy peasy. In fact the longest part was looking for the Jubilee Clip I lost! The old rad being brass was...

There's something wrong with my Defender......

I'm with you on that. I thought I'd got rid of all my leaks and everything was hunky dory. Now the rear diff pinion seal is leaking, the transfer box sump gasket needs replacing and so does my radiator! All jobs to do Wednesday!

200tdi radiator, will the cheap one fit???

Just rang paddocks. The expensive rads include the intercooler apparently, but the rad on its own should fit ok. So I've gone and ordered their £94 rad. Ordered the Antifreeze from them too £120 all in express delivery. I can live with that. Can't be arsed with re-coring tbh I just want to...
