Is there any engines that would fit in a 03 freelander 1.8 petrol. I have put 3 different engines in this week (k lumps) and they all had there problems after being told they are good runners ect. The one that's in there now has got a lot of pressure in the rocker cover and puts oil in the inlet...

I think she is properly going to the freelander place in the sky shall find out next week.

It's lost A bit of water since headgasget was done about 3 or 4 years ago. Its ony done about 10k since The only thing I had left to change/check was the inlet manifold.

What the scraping it or the disco bit or both

Hi My 1.8 petrol freelander has a problem Hard to start and when she dose smokes like a train for a few minutes then clears missis on a few cylinders and lacks power. H,g,f or inlet manifold Any more ideas what it could be Before I scrap it and get a disco as I've chucked enuf money at...

my old ford xr 4x4 and granada 4x4 would not let me drive with the front drive shafts out tca kept cuting the engine after moving 5ft cause it wasnt sensing the front wheels moving, it was caused by a senser on front diff out put . i didnt no if these landrovers were the same but at the rear...

i didnt know if there is any sencers or any thing else on the transfer box that would upset the t,c,a as it is on some 4x4s

Oh well back to the bmw m5 for summer then stand the landy up for the summer pluss the air con works and the t,c,a.:D happy days are here again.

I did have the same on there as what you sold(synergy) , but couldnt find any . they failed mot on the cracked side walls but they had been on there 9years

hi all if i take my prop off for the summer months am i rite in thinking that it wont affect the traction control ,as its only on the front wheels Or is it on all 4 as its a 4x4.

i was looking for tyres about a month ago to go on a standard 03 plate. 235 65 17 do not fit i tried they hit the spring cups at the front but ok on rear. in the end i got a set of michielin pilots 225 55 17 part worn (about 500 miles ) £30 each

iv used old engine oil in the past if i havnt got any wd40 or boot pollish layin about , mite try the heat gun thing next

sounds like its a good job i dont mind gettin the tool box and the welder out and using it then. So if i just look for major tin worm and make sure all the drive works ok then.

looks like its gona be a disco then. Anything i should look for when lookin at one . i know about the rust probs and making sure all the 4x4 works as it should.

Hi all Im in need of a bigger landrover iv got a 3door freelander :lol:at the mo. How much more usable space would i have in a disco than a freelander. I need something big enuf to chuck in 2 dogs 3kids and the missis.
